On May 13, 1972. 9:40 p.m. Four boys sleeping beside a barn in a large open field in Canterbury, New Hampshire, see a star-like light suddenly appear and descend toward them. As it approaches, they hear a sound and run to the edge of the field for a better view.
The UFO then moves in a smooth, sideways zig-zag motion and passes overhead at an estimated altitude of about 150 feet. It is an octahedron-shaped craft tilted at roughly a 45° angle, about one to two car-lengths in size, with four pipe-like legs ending in round pads.
A bright white light shines from its forward side, illuminating a nearby chicken coop and the surrounding area, while a fiery, color-changing exhaust extends beneath it. They also note several bright, inverted U-shaped, cable-like structures on top as the object continues across the field.
