Herve Rancourt sees a round UFO above a jet plane while working on a housing project in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The object, about half an inch in apparent diameter at arms length?, moves so fast that it easily overtakes the jet.
Rancourt watches it for 15 to 20 seconds. Joseph Brunnelle of Turners Falls, his coworker and a World War II Air Corps veteran, also observes the object. Both men describe it as having a whitish cast. Rancourt notes that the UFO appears to gain altitude during a second sighting. Brunnelle remarks that he has never seen anything like it before. The UFO is judged to be flying at an altitude of about 12,000 to 13,000 feet. Now A Look Back At The July 1947 UFO Flying Saucer Phenomena
