On March 30, 1995, in a rural area of South Africa, Jan Pienaar was driving his truck in the morning when he noticed something unusual. He saw a man standing by the side of the road who appeared confused, as if shielding himself from a strong light. At that moment, the truck’s engine suddenly stopped for no apparent reason.
When Pienaar looked ahead, he was startled to see a large, oddly shaped object positioned on the road. He described it as resembling two inverted dishes stacked on top of each other, with an upper section featuring windows or openings, and supported by struts. Its surface appeared shiny, emitting multicolored lights, red, green, and yellow. It also produced a continuous humming sound, which the witness likened to that of a powerful electrical machine.
Driven by curiosity, Pienaar stepped out of his truck, but was surprised to find himself unable to move freely. He felt as though an invisible force was holding him in place, similar to a magnetic effect. This sensation lasted for several minutes while the object remained stationary in front of him. During this time, he noticed additional details in the UFO structure, including what appeared to be damage or an opening in its surface, leading him to believe that it might have been malfunctioning or undergoing some form of repair.
Shortly afterward, the UFO began to rise gradually from the ground, then accelerated rapidly and disappeared into the sky. As soon as it vanished, Pienaar regained his ability to move, and his truck’s engine resumed normal operation, as if nothing had happened.
Following the incident, Pienaar reported what he had witnessed to local authorities. According to some accounts, there were other reports during the same period describing similar sightings in the area, giving the impression that the incident might have been part of a broader wave of unexplained phenomena.
Despite the detailed testimony provided by the witness, there is no confirmed explanation for what occurred. Some consider the incident to be evidence of unknown technology or even extraterrestrial presence, while others believe it may have resulted from a visual misperception or a personal experience that is difficult to interpret accurately.
