Fly Me To The Moon! Free Ride On The Artemis Mission Here

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is offering a free ride on board Orion when the Artemis II mission launches. Orion will fly four astronauts around the moon and back next year, and anyone can take part in the historic flight.

NASA will place an SD card inside Orion with names collected online. To add your name, go to the NASA Artemis II page and enter your name and a four-digit PIN.

NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, as well as CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen, will be the first humans aboard the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket, Orion. They will travel to the moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build the foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.

The Orion spacecraft was built in Huntsville by NASA and prime contractor Lockheed Martin. Orion has traveled farther than any other spacecraft built for humans.

The mission will launch from Launch Complex 39 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida no later than April 2026. The trip is expected to last 10 days.
