The Atalante UFO Landing Incident Sept. 2nd 1990
The Atalante UFO Incident occurred on September 2, 1990 Atalanti, Phthiotis.
A dozen aerial UFO lights were seen flying in a straight formation at various locations in Greece. While flying above Atalanti, Phthiotis, one of the UFO lights turns red, emits smoke, and starts losing altitude, eventually making a forced landing on top of a nearby hill and setting the entire slope on fire.
Other lights descend with it, and circle around the landed unidentified flying object. The closest eyewitnesses are about a half-mile away and describe the UFOs as circular and the size of tractors. The observers move closer and see “shadows” going in and out of the objects. About five hours later, the objects all take off.
The following morning, locals who visit the site notice that even though the area is burned, the ground is moist and sticky. They find some metal and foam fragments that are confiscated by the police. Some spherical depressions in the ground, arranged in a circular formation, are also noted.
The Greek Air Force, which is on the site within an hour after the objects depart, claims that the landed object is a satellite.
